What's the issue with the Nano hd?

Worst case it gets eol early like the previous square APs. But that's a estimation based on the poor choice by ubiquiti in the past.

We can't predict the future. Maybe ubiquiti may even cease to exist tomorrow:s8:

The UAPs are crying.....pity them to have been handled by someone who clearly has no foundation knowledge of RF.

Many of us install our hardware in sub optimal locations or conditions, becos we co-share our home with our wife. The dreaded WAF.

My APs are also installed in non optimal locations because that's those are the only places my wife are ok with. At least my wife tolerates me making a mess of the house installing all the APs. That I'm already thankful. I also managed to find install at spots that she is ok with, and and still provide good 5G coverage.

Perhaps u own a bachelor pad, hence u dun understand some of the limitations we have with home installation.

Yeah, quite a lot of resistance when I wanted to install those 2xAP just alongside the wall and in a corner... Will definitely not pass if I wanted to install it right smack in the middle of the ceiling. Heh

Can you let us know where is the best place to install the APs?

I guess ideally will be right smack in the middle of the ceiling so that you wont have walls and corners bouncing the signals all over the place and making the AP cry.. Ideally.

was reviewing my layout and realised i favour aesthetic (hide somewhere, not visible) over better WIFI coverage.

Also found out that to install AP on gypsium board/false ceiling, you use this screw called molly bolt/molly fastener. It is better than plain using a drywall screw.

I see usually they use butterfly wall plug.

It's not mounted at a centralised location. But more often that not, people don't live alone; their other half might not allow it to be mounted right smack in the middle of the living room.

Indeed. Applies to all normal married men, unfortunately. Haha

I have the WAF issue too. My UniFi is in the corner.

Anyone here with a Unifi router and ONR from Singtel here or got it successfully to set to bridge mode ? I abit tulan with with ONR because even with admin password (which I have), I can't switch it to bridge.
