Xiaomi Pocophone F1

Anyone here managed to get one already?

Can do a mini review.

in my short 30 mins. coming from the honor play

- faster processor and ram. Things on default feel smoother and snappier.

- my grab app doesn't have to reload when i multitask (the biggest annoyance i had)

- screen is bright and colourful. cant be compared to OLED. comparable to the Honor Play.

- camera seems to auto focus faster compared to the Honor Play. will test further

- Wifi is MUCH faster. at home I can hit 480-550 UL\DL compared to Honor play, cant hit past 200

- Design wise the Honor Play seems sleeker due to its metal build compared to the PC build of the Pocophone.

- Pocophone has a **** tonne of bloatware that u cant disable. i'm sure there is a way to do it and i'm gonna find out how.

- Stereo speakers on Pocophone vs monospeaker on Honor Play...nuff said.



overall once u slap a case on it, design and build quality is moot. Just get the pocophone and @ $425 after using the $15 discount code on shopee, this is a no brainer. FYI the price has been updated on shopee.

Wah didn't expect the bloatware part. I thought it will be a less bloated version of MIUI using the pocophone skin. But I guess a little housekeeping and uninstalling of useless apps won't be a huge problem. Let us know how u do it when u have researched on how to disable as I am VERY OCD about bloatware

its not only about gaming. overall user experience the pocophone will have any phones with budget processors beat.

Poco not officially released in China I think, only Asia and Europe. So I am quite certain is global rom. Maybe with some Poco bloatware since it is using Poco launcher.

- faster SOC. Very evident when gaming.
- base model has 6GB of ram, up to 8GB
- face unlock with IR
- Better rear camera
- Better front camera

Cons
- smaller battery

Battery Capacity
Unibody aluminium design which is also subjective.

The Pocophone and the Mi Max 3 arent intended for the same demographic imo.
