ya...you see taiwan's english standard...it's embarrassing in 2018. Han advocate for Chinese/English Bilingualism. Dialect learn from grandparents, got test, certification and award for dialect learning. That might be because Han was the director of a private english/chinese school before he joined bei nong.

han ish a sidelined KMT politician that has no connection to most of the big shots or factions. he was famous for punching ah bian in parliament 20yrs ago.

in recent yrs he was made the GM of taipei agri assoc and has very good financial performance. but was forced to retire by DPP. he and KP are frens.

HQY is pretty smart in his campaign approach.
He is quoting the plight of the peasant all the time and promised a vague plan.
He did not set any figures since he was hit by a population growth figure.
He did not attack his opponent.

CQM is proposing policies used by other provinces without realizing that some of them already failed badly.
He is going by the scholar approach by promising stuff like A.I. that peasants dun give a damn.
He keep hitting HQY all the time.

For a peasant who is dying, who will be more appealing ?
The one who keep highlighting he hear your plight or the one who tell you about industry 4.0 ?

southern taiwan ish generally emotional peeps, like to pua KC type. so han's approach ish working at least short term.

CQM 'policies' ish mostly oso empty talks, and they cant be realised overnight even if they are feasible. at the same time the accumulated problems in KS continue to taint DPP image. so he's having a bad time.
