If you are talking about toggle, the best way is to run on handphone and chromecast the video to android tv.

It is designed to operate in this way.

But I don't understand why is there a need to run toggle on android tv to watch live mediacorp channel.

If what you want is 'recorded' program, one way is to install mediacorp addons or sg!tv addon from kodi's official repo and watch using kodi.

The mediacorp addons from official repo mostly don't work. And I suspect mediacock don't want to build an android tv version of toggle because of their partnership with LG tvs and their so call toggle red button.

Noob question here.

Anybody tried installing Toggle, Singtel TV Go or Starhub Go app on the Mibox S?

Does it work?

Toggle won't work on any android tv device. Singtel or starhub all requires subscription and not popular. :s13:

Tried to cast toggle but won't work.
As a matter of fact, I can't cast anything app from my phone.
I have tried Starhub Go and Toggle but none works.

use Asian Tv Go to watch regional live TV.. SG channels usually will stream at high speed in HD without buffering unless it's under maintenance..

Toggle will work on tv or tvbox with android tv os by using built-in chromecast. It is designed to work this way.

it has to be chromecast, not other types of casting or mirroring. do not use the casting features from the phone, you need to press the chromecast icon within the app.

For chromecast to work, you need to have either a chromecast dongle, nvidia shield, mibox international, or any smart tv with android tv os.

I am using a Mibox s.
I pressed the chrome cast icon within the app.
All I see is a blank TV screen after a while.
Only casting from YouTube works

And I believe you are referring to this icon that I circled?

yes, but I found it is easier to connect if chromecast is activated earlier.

Click the pink chromecast icon on the top right corner immediately after launching toggle.

If done correctly, you will see big word "Toggle" on tv screen.

After that. continue to navigate on phone, the video will be show on tv when you press play or watch.

Remember to update mibox's chromecast to latest version.

if you buy an android device (tablet/phone), do you still need the box with antennae to display local shows?

if you can answer this, it will apply to your question as well.

global version mibox = official Google certified android device.

Asian TV Go was in Google Play store before. Now it is not in my Huawei P20 Google Play Store. But you can still Google for it.

Anyway it will no longer be able to stream local channels any more because of recent changes in Toggle.

So use Toggle if you are in Singapore or use VPN and Toggle if you are not in Singapore. It is not designed for TV box so better to use ChromeCast.
