Sorry to hear that. You have to quickly call or email CCS now to see how they can take it this forward with the Banks.

I had emailed CCS today, tomorrow Monday I will call them.

Hope that they can work something out for u. I think if the revised amount is not that significant and you have been making your past payment promptly, they may be able to work something out for you.

Good to hear that. No need to treat me kopi la.. Just trying to see how I can help. Also, I didn't help much.
I believe so long as your payment record has been prompt, CCS should be able to help you re-negotiate with the banks on a revised payment amount. Hope you can get some good news soon!

Just to share a bit.
Chalk up 80 plus k debt from gambling n partying.
Went thru CCS of 930 per mth for 84 mths with starting pay of 2.2k gross.

Times past n now understand to spend wisely.

Appreciate CCS assistance when in deep trouble.

Thank you for sharing. At what stage are you with your DMP journey now? What difficulty, if any, did you encounter along the way and how did you overcome the difficulty?

Hi, finished paying like 5 years back when I am 37 years old.
Must be really strong willed not to over spent.
Save all bonus.
When you have enough money to pay 1 institution, call them up, negotiate with them on paying 1 full sum at lower rates.
Did this on uob n citi bank.
Standard chartered does not bite in.

Debt free except hdb.
Rent out a room for extra income.
Driving nearing coe cars.
Looking at paying 25k coe for a extension.
Try to be stingy.

Congratulations and thank you for the insights! It is wonderful to know success stories like yours as it provides encouragement to the rest of us who are still in this journey.

All the best!

Yes. Stay positive. Most important is to learn to cut expenses to bare minimum. When there's an urge to spend, even if it's choosing between different brands of things you buy, go for the cheaper one or wait for offer. I learn this from my spouse who was always 'reminding' me hey, you are in a lot of debt, you cannot afford to spend. You actually don't have money! I tracked every cent I spent during DMP to learn where my money went & I worked a 2nd job to increase my income. Like I shared before, take it one payment at a time & soon you are done. Like what another has shared, be stingy. Can always relax a little as time goes by when situation improves.
Our time will come also as long as we learn from this process. :)

Live day by day. Don't envy what people have and do. They make look good on the surface, in fact, they themselves also in debt but they don't show it.

I wonder what will happen, if one is retrenched during DMP though...

Hi all,

I’m on DMP since October 2018. Owing of total 30k debts to 5 banks with monthly repayment of 607 for 4 years+. It’s been 9 months down and still has about 28k+ including the 3% interest pa. Was wondering if I would to apply for BTO now, would HLE be approved? And how much would it roughly be if income was 4.3k? Would it be gage as the loan calculator in HDB website of 280k?

Please help.
Thanks

u can try apply.

anyway just to share some info, i got my first cc approved, after 2yrs mark of clearing dmp.

Hihi,

I'm new to this post.

Was looking though this post to see anyone got their cc approved after their DMP plan. Thank God I found your sharing.

I ended my DMP in 2017 and till date is about 2years. Wanted to apply for cc but was afraid of being rejected.

Are you able to share more on how you got it? Did they ask for alot other documents and how was your current credit rating like?
