Can ask what is a good biotech ETF to buy ?thks.

IBB if you prefer the bigger ones.

XBI if you prefer the smaller ones for more volatility and higher expected returns.

Don't forget to add a medical devices ETF like IHI. This is my favorite. You have names like Medtronics, Abott, Edwards Lifesciences, etc in the ETF.

I won't recommend buying individual biotech stock.

ABBV is down now. REGN and GILD were good past performers. They have been underperforming now.

It is better to just buy the biotech index.
Think I'll just stay away from Bios after this. Just look at tech stocks.

Sectors outperform and underperform in rotation in the short to mid term.

You can choose to buy both sectors together. Buy more of the sector that is lagging. Reduce the sector that is leading.

I believe both biotech and semiconductor sectors will do well in the longer term.

Analyzing stocks by industry give a sense direction on each component of the market. Here is the snap shot of Insurance Broker that I have clobbered on my charting tool.

The Insurance Broker has been on a tear for quite sometime already. I am using it as an example and not recommendation.

If no charting tool, just download the company list from Nasdaq and sort them by industry.

Can just buy the whole sector ETF which is KIE.

No need to worry of which stocks.

Appl seeing favorable earnings estimate revision..always a good sign.

My AMD entry price was 9.85 in April 2018.

You are expecting no rate cut or a less dovish stance after a rate cut has been delivered? If it is on the back of the classic buy the rumor and sell the fact, it would rebound after profit taking. I think the Fed knows that if they do not meet the market's expectations for rate cuts, it would spark volatility in the markets. And since the Fed has already embarked on this path (when imho, I think they have no case to cut rates), they cannot jump off halfway.

It is as what u said lor...no case to cut rates. The fed have worded their statement such that they are focused on sustained economic expansion and inflation rate as main focus. If their focus is on these 2, then they have a case to cut rates but...is it necessary?
My head expects no rate cut but dovish outlook. My heart hopes for 25 bp cut with dovish outlook. Market expects the same as my heart too.
Lol...

Any good platform to use for US stock? Preferably without custodian fee and quarterly fee. Feels like switching from SC
