yes that’s true, but very hard to put in with one hand leh. might be my finger dexterity on right hand not good, scared drop sia 😂

anyone got experience with those twist-o-flex expansion bands as well?

I have pretty big hands too and the way I put on my Milanese loop is to attached it magnetically to its longest available length (nearest to the lugs) and slot it in and tighten it afterwards. I tried some 3rd party Milanese loop and the lengths are about the same but the quality of the magnet and strap is really ****.

So titanium really prone to scratches compare to SS? Still can’t decide which to go for it. The price difference is not huge.

Not sure how it holds up in actual usage, you can go and take a look at it at the apple store.

perhaps if plan to change the watch every 1-2 years, then probably not worth it to get the titanium imo. :s22:

Was really interested in the titanium models when it was first leaked and presented as I enjoy wearing titanium on watches too but after seeing it at the Apple Store the titanium really look too similar to the aluminium models...

sorry i was comparing titanium against alum in the previous post.

I didn't really check out the SS models, but from a quick glance could see that they are really nice and shiny, but very prone to micro-scratches. not sure if this helps, best to check them out in person and compare :)

to an outsider whois looking at your watch, he/she wouldn't be able to tell much difference (titanium vs alum) unless its close-up.

But vs SS vs Ceramic, the aesthetics-wise presents more difference imo

Yes I understand. But only SS and titanium/ceramic offer sapphire crystal. So like no choice but to get SS or titanium only. Ceramic is out of budget.

Series 4 I have both silver and black stainless steel. The silver more easily scratched and finger print more visible .. black stainless steel has DLC coating which makes it harder to scratch

I think the black titanium will be more resistant to scratch compared to silver titanium as the black have DLC coating

DLC Diamond Like Carbon - DLC coated watches are completely resistant to scratches. A DLC coating is considered the highest quality PVD coating since it is the most durable and the hardest to scratch. Evidently, the DLC coating adds a layer on the watch, which also protects it against elements of regular wear.

That’s why the titanium or stainless steel black both of which have DLC together with the Apple black stainless steel strap which has DLC is a perfect combination for scratch resistance. Silver versions of watch and strap don’t have DLC

Yea agreed!

Use your watch naked. For your real Seiko, Rolex, tag Heuer, etc watch, you will not buy Apple care and not use glass protector and case

Use it naturally and enjoy!

Btw, I used none for many years for 1st version Apple Watch

Just wondering if both items has DLC coating and it comes into contact together does it cause scratches? E.g. When two DLC coated Apple Watch scratches each other or when the DLC coated bands rubs against the case of the DLC coated Apple Watch Case

Guys if I bought from Apple Store, I can return for a full refund right? Think I wanna change my SG alu to Silver alu instead, since silver looks more classy.

I saw both variants of the titanium models and both are super cui.

The scratches on the titanium model looks worst than the scratches on the stainless steel model.

The scratches on the titanium model appears to be shiny and of different colour to the coating whereas the scratches on the stainless steel model is of the same colour as the steel which is not as obvious and look more natural.

Asthetically, stainless steel model still look the best and look good when worn out.

Within 14 days yes you can but I think the SG aluminum looks better. Silver aluminum model looks very cheap.

wonder if it's because its a new casing material and everyone wanted to have a look at it and ended being scratched up worse than stainless/alum.

even so it doesn't reflect "real-life" usage, which differs from one person to another.

anyway don't take our word for it. just make a trip down to the apple store and see it for yourselves.

initially i was prepared to get the titanium too, but after comparing them side by side i went for the space grey alum because i know that i will prob change it every few years, and i was very disappointed after seeing the scratches. but of cos that's just me.

if putting a bet on the premium titanium DLC coating being scratch-free is worth throwing out the 300-400 bucks more then go for it. because personal usage varies afterall.

aesthetically-wise there's not much diff for me, i just see "oh yeah, its an apple watch", can't tell if its titanium/alum/stainless steel if i just walk past and have a quick glance at someone's wrist. and that may also mean im getting old and my eyesight is getting worse compared to the younger generation. but the white ceramic one really stands out.

so at the end of the day it really depends on how you use the AW, which one could only answer himself/herself since its a very personal thing

apologies that i forgot to take a picture :s12:

Well said bro 👏 Everyone has different buying needs and definition of whether a product is worth it anot. But for me the two models and colourway that really differentiate from the rest is stainless steel gold and ceramic. From far really can see the shine already.

Agree lol. I was looking at ceramic and ss gold. However.., at ceramic price range might as well buy Hermès edition already. I ended up with ss gold and I feel it’s so beautiful.
