Can someone explain the dividend reinvestment portion ?

From what I read online is the NAV will increase.. although our current shares price will increase.. but ultimately we are buying the shares at a more expensive price assuming we are using dollar cost averaging..

Correct me if I'm wrong

Put it in another perspective.

You bought at X dollar 3 months ago.

Price have risen each month and each DCA is at a higher price.

So X dollar has helped to lower the average while you are buying higher.

Opened an IBKR account for sometime now but have not put in anything into IWDA. Expecting a correction in the market soon.

Planning to do DCA for this ETF. Is this the correct mindset?

No, DCA means you invest fixed amount at fixed date/time every single month, regardless of the share price.

What you are doing now is timing the market, which is fine if you think you are smarter than Mr. Market.

am i correct on this:

go to SCB, create an USD account for trading in LSE.

buy every 3-4 months, with USD 2K.

i can't recall, i read 4k seems to be the idea amount to max the charges, but this 4k, is in USD or SGD?

Is IWDA subjected to 0.5% stamp duty on SCB?
No. ETFs on LSE are NOT subject to stamp duty.

The trade confirmation on SCB has a display bug showing stamp duty, but it won't be charged when the trade settles.

Thanks.

If I want to buy IWDA with SCB, I should transfer my SGD from esaver to USD settlement account first right? Then they will take the money from settlement account to execute my order?

US ISM data are bad. Looks like the 3 US index will bring this down a bit.
