Has the market bottomed?

S&P500 has corrected about 16% from the all time high.

Actually 13% if based on closing price.

Not bad. Isn't far from my just for fun prediction of 8 to 10% correction. :s13:

Will the shortists dare to initiate new short positions? =:p

Half-believe the rally. The situation is getting worse...

Futures jump on Biden's syper Tuesday results. I normally discount politics induced sell off or rallies. But for those trading intraday, they would need to take note. I guess we will know after the market's overnight orders get cleared and the real direction starts.

US market is mad

I want to buy bit just can’t find a reason ...

I know - I may kick myself when it shoots up but I rather miss out than lose money ...

You dont lose money if you buy index. You just miss out on potential opportunities to buy lower, those opportunities may or may not come and you may or may not take those opportunities when they present themselves. There is so much unknown. Over longer term if you believe markets will go up and compounding works its magic, then you really shouldnt be looking at such small day to day movements.

Invest some amount atleast so that you feel you have some skin in the game and then if markets fall, invest more. There is no way that markets will fall perfectly 50% in short term, you go in 100% at that bottom and then markets bounce back in V shape. That doesnt happen.

Don't follow US market blindly guys.
Even though 0.5% interest cut is attractive, but invest with care.

rate cuts are only temporary solution.
makes the bubble grow bigger. with that extra liquidity, people buy more stocks. -_-
the next crash will be bad.

what is needed is solutions like tax cuts etc.
