Qn you should ask where will STI be end of the year or next?


Day to day fluctuations are pointless to predict nowadays

1 year performance is tough to predict, investors should have at least 20 year investment horizon. My prediction is MSCI world index will be much higher in 20 years while STI will still play around the 3k range.

Lower EPS.

When they do buybacks, do the number of shares decrease so as a result the price per share goes higher? Or is it the act of doing shares buyback will result in price increasing because of demand?

I think about 3%. Not sure how much other ETF gives out. Why people buy ETF is to avoid choosing single companies so the risks are more spread out.

For Spdr STI ETF, its 4.5% as of 13-Mar-2020 according to their website. P/B is 0.88

No death so far compared to SARS

No major retrenchment so far compared to GFC
