I read the report and I think there is excessive wild speculations.
My interpretation is that he is saying that he will be proud to put up a WP team that is credible and fully deserving of votes from Singaporeans in East Coast GRC. Nowhere is he saying that surprising candidates will appear there.
Probably the team there would be:
Terence Tan
Nicole Seah
Jamus Lim
and maybe the new lady Raeesah.
If you look at above, it is quite strong slate actually

Something like that. These are candidates that are handpicked collectively by the WP CEC headed by him. So it’s a team he is saying he is proud of and of which East Coast voters would be proud off too

I see too many people getting overly excited for nothing
