hi!! Here to seek advice again from the taobao pros.

Recently I bought a laptop stand from taobao and received a faulty product (the stand can’t even stand LOL) Took pictures and videos and sent the shop to ask for refund/ advice.

I didn’t go through the “我的小蜜” because I was hoping the shop could resend the same thing. I also note that there are 3 options that I could choose for refund

1. refund but no need to return the product
2. return and refund
3. 1-1 Exchange

Option 2 and 3 are possible but expensive and there’s no point to pay for the shipping fees if it’s more expensive than the product itself. Has anyone tried option one and is successful?

Is there any other way I could get back my money

Yes what did they say when u msg them, they should just do 1 as u cannot return item

I think there is no max but rather goods over $400 you need to pay gst

The more you consolidate the more you pay for shipping only

hmm I think there's a max unless its different from Cainiao air. Cainiao air had a limit of about 15 packages I think I can't remember. For sea shipping have to pay GST regardless of total value

Usually i ship smaller or cheaper items, this is 1st time i m shipping above $200 item n is kind of fragile. So i need some advices

contact seller and ask them to pack with more layers, use a service that has insurance for damage

I hv a seller who sent me another one but on condition that i cart it one more time. Dont hv to be same value. After i received the correct item, he refunded with shippin fees.can try negotiate with seller see if he can do the same for u. Most dun like to do exchange for overseas item.

There is a AIO version -- can add butter, sugar, corn kernel together but the popcorn looked a little burnt. .

Reviews said hard to wash.

Can try this:
1. Start with a low flame for better control
2. Stir the sugar when the outer layer melts
3. Add butter (optional), salt (optional) & a little bit of baking soda - stir it fast abt 10 secs
4. Turn off the flame & mix the popcorn well
5. Leave it cool on a flat pan/surface.

there are 3 ways to prevent burnt caramelized sugar

-experience through the color observation.
-thermometer, when it reach desire temperature...the color will start to change.
-timer.... it take x time to caramelize sugar... so u can record the best timing to caramelize sugar.

then cold water to stop the sugar from continue cooking. <-- tis 1

for the coating, u have split into few batches....coat it slowly before the sugar harden. then spread on baking paper and bake in oven

Thanks to both of you. Success finally. Just sugar, no butter and no bicarbonate of soda. Used low flame and just waited longer. Looked out for color change then liftedthe pan away from the fire when there’s a risk of burning. The popcorn was crusty because of the sugar. So much sugar. Didn’t know until now. But everybody liked it. Thanks once again.

Best is pack using extra wooden crate. It'll cost you more but you get peace of mind

4. Partial refund, no need return.
5. resend another 1 without extra costs
6. resend another 1 with some top up
7. LLST and try to repair yourself.

to me, furniture tv pots are more prone to damages.

-Buy insurance
-Request/Pay More for extra protection
-ezbuy....at least got compensation
-good forwarder with good handling..... e.g loading container...transportation.

as long u can cart out... Yes. But the final decision depend on the warehouse.
i can only said third party forwarders is less stringent.

Yes, humidifier not as fragile as furnitures, tv n pots but is more fragile than cables, clothes, accessories. Just a choice of words n a general description

most of the sellers won't provide crating services.
majority of the forwarders do provide crating services at extra costs.

Additionally, there r lots of water vapour on the cover... will it be soggy?

Just sugar, no butter and no bicarbonate of soda.

It also taste great with just sugar, similar to the ones in pasar malam. Baking soda thickens the syrup so glazing becomes a little easier.
