But as with players, we'll never know will we? Some big names, some experienced in the EPL, also came and somehow just couldn't kick on. BrunoF was really more hype in the papers than someone who we've played against and seen first hand (ala CR), and he took the EPL by storm (for at least the first few weeks).

But he's a player who we know fills a position that we're lacking, and is at the theoretical right/average age to be a player in his prime.

For this Jadon Sancho, I will always say - hold the verdict until he plays for us. If he comes, he is going to deprive MasonG of playing opportunities that's for sure. Because the right wing is where MasonG is going to get a shot at starting, and I actually think he's done pretty well there so far, like a right-sided ThierryH.

But it probably all comes down to marketing and publicity. For all we know, the board's (EW's) KPI is probably one super (protracted) signing per season in order to make sure the club and sponsor get on the news.
