Klopp could be re building our front 3 and midfield

Minamino, keita, oxlade, Jones, Thiago, fabinho, Origi,

I have a feeling that Thiago might be just a player to help Klopp lay the foundations for the next gen of Liverpool 1st 11

Think if we sign Jota, Origi or Brewster will go.
Our midfield is overcrowded, likely some will leave...Ox?

Is this the first time Our club buys a key player from a fellow european rival club?

I seriously don't remember our club ever doing that

Liverpool have completed a £45 million deal for forward Diogo Jota from Wolverhampton Wanderers, reports James Pearce. The 23-year-old Portugal international has signed a five-year contract. An initial fee of £41 million will rise to £45 million depending on appearances and team success in the Premier League and Champions League.

Dutch teenager Ki-Jana Hoever is going in the opposite direction in a £13.5 million deal — £9 million guaranteed and £4.5 million in add-ons. Liverpool have also negotiated a 15 per cent sell-on clause.

Amazing how we can get so much money for Hoever when he is not even first team.

To be fair, this kid is something special with his scoring record

Jus that we never have luck with target man strikers, never our style under Klopp
We tried with suarez + Carroll but didn't really work out as Carroll was injury prone and we didn't have players who could spray alonso-type of 50yard crosses

Yes, you are right.

with Robbo and TAA we have great crosser, under Klopp style of player he wants forward that are dynamic,, don’t think Haaland fit this profile

Apparently Thiago promised Klopp way back in June that he'll sign for him.
Jota was the one for me although people were talking up Neves and Jimenez in the beginning and then Traore lately. He rather than Werner too can play in am role.

I am glad that we honor our promise and did not play Thiago out.
The rumor is dragging too long for my comfort.

Schalke sources confirm Liverpool have contacted them about Ozan Kabak. Official line - squad is settled & not for disruption now season is underway. Privately told an offer around €25m could force a rethink.

Maybe this is a smokescreen for someone else?

Yes, so effectively is £32m + Ki-Jana Hoever (free)

Good business indeed

LFC only pay just less than 10% of Jota guaranteed fee for first year. That's an important key factor to get the deal over the line. Edward doing smart structure deal without paying lots upfront during this time.

Yes, so effectively is £28m + £4m (1st year) + Ki-Jana Hoever (free)

£9m for Tiago and Jota first then wait and see how covid recovers

Bayern want to resolve Thiago situation before German league start so a compromise was made. Worth the waiting game.
