Context on percentage of buyers is not relevant when people are saying they remove negative reviews.

Those context are more suitable when an individual has bad experience.

I was referring to the HWZ thread. I think you may have interpreted what I said as the comments made on Xiaomi's webpage. Sometimes in a forum thread, we see many negative comments, and we may think the item is so bad but there may be many silent users with positive experience... just to balance things up... I don't know if Xiaomi removes negative comments on their web page or social media platform... that's also why I prefer to refer to third party sources like HWZ where the manufacturer is not able to interfere with the feedback process...

Watching the new borat movie really shows the budget nature of this tv. Those buying please temper expectations esp for the hdr aspect.

Not sure if is recent update or the prime now app not updated properly or just a tv thing. The color grading is totally off, with details in shadows having a heavy green tint.

Was the tv behaving this way with other HDR content before watching this movie? Sounds bad...

I'm thinking of getting the xiaomi tv 4s 55 during this 11.11 at lazada. It is 649 if I buy from xiaomi official store (2 year warranty), 549 if I buy from another seller (1 year warranty).

Generally I wanna ask if its worth it to buy from official store $100 more for additional year of warranty.

Any advice?

I have the a similar question.
But what I m more concern with is whether Xiaomi official offers onsite or CARRY-IN warranty.
It's going to be a nightmare if warranty is CARRY-IN

Did troubleshooting and resolved it by resetting the picture modes. Now no more green cast.

But from what i see i think netflix does hdr better than amazon prime

I’m using the 55” TV 4S. Anyone having problem with the spdif?

Sound out via HDMI arc (other tv box) seems ok but the spdif sound (digital tv vol)seems very very soft . Problem seems to be like this after I update latest FW.

Did you try adjusting volume? Before update you couldn't control but now you can so it might be set to a level lower than the uncontrollable volume before

Is it possible to set the tv to default to certain hdmi input when turning on? Meaning to say don’t need on tv then go select input to hdmi but rather, it auto goes into one of the hdmi input...

noobie question: for the 55 4s tv, is there a built in mic on the tv for google assistant? Or is the mic on the remote?

The google assistant doesn’t seem to be able to hear & respond.

Yes I was interested too until I called them and they told me it was 2 year "manufacturer" warranty meaning xiaomi sg, which translate to 2 years of CARRY IN to xiaomi funan warranty.

How is XM compared to sony 55X8000H? The price is more than 2 times XM price. Just comparing hardware and after salea support if its worth it

I have not received my XM TV yet and so can't speak of aftersales support. But for my Sony TVs of 6 years, aftersales support is quite good lor... i asked them about the TV's inability to update the firmware, they had no solution beyond sending my Bluray player back to check and getting a tech down to check the TV, which is all chargeable for service and transport cos it is out of warranty. To be fair to them, they walked me through all the websites to download the firmware, both wirelessly and via USB flash drive, gave me a website to upload photos of my TV screens and error messages for them to help troubleshoot, and were very polite and helpfuk over the phone but just can't offer a solution.

Do u mean the vol button on the remote ? If yes there is still no response after I change sound to spdif , only works when it’s tv speaker out

You may have to switch the audio output to external speaker or something similar on the tv? Then the sound will go through the external speakers and your tv remote will be able to control the volume on the tv and also affect the volume level of the speakers.

Always need to re-pair my BT headset after I switch off the TV and turn it on the next day. It used to be able to recognise the headset just as my notebook would. Any ideas?

Finally got my 4S 65" TV yesterday. Really love the 4K resolution. The upscaler is really good (based on my limited past experience), even free-to-air channels at 1080i look sharp and clear, no artifacts or smear due to the dithering. From some downloaded samples, 4K and 1080p movies don't look very different in terms of sharpness and clarity. Probably cos the 4K samples I use are compressed. Anyway, will stick to 1080p cos it's already looking very impressive.

Will now look into sideloading MeWatch and see if it can work. Would appreciate any advice for apps to install? Anything you deem useful. I currently only have Puffin Browser, VLC & Kodi installed.

Already bought a cheap 2.4 GHz wireless keyboard with touch pad & BT transmitter to allow 2 headphones to connect simultaneously. Will update once I get them.

I found the interface very fluid and snappy. A million times better than my old Sony TV's interface. Android TV is quite. Able to install quite a few useful apps. Also managed to install Kodi & VLC and YouTube Vanced. Also managed to figure out how to share folders on my desktop PC and able to access my travel photos and videos over to view on the TV. Really excited to do some reminiscing on a large screen. Haven't had time to view and to find a good photo viewer, any suggestions would be appreciated.

People who use Android handphone will find it easier to adapt to Android tv interface. It is the flexibility to do more that makes it more lively. 65" is a good choice given that most buyers find its colour good and acceptable at this size. Bigger size more enjoyment! :)
