RTX reflections on the glass. Left is the 3080, you can see the full reflection. But, its' either a black patch or partial rendering of the reflections in the games for the 6800 XT on the right...that's crappy for a GPU

Unless you play with 8k...or content creators that need the extra memory.

For a top tier gaming graphics card, if it cannot even render graphics properly... what's the point, even if it comes with 128GB and the graphics still looks sub par...

If there is anything I learned from these few months,
it is that you will probably be able to get the GPUs that you want 3-6 months after the launch date at MSRP

Have to watch the video instead of just looking at the screenshot. The presenters were actually impressed with what AMD managed to achieve with ray-tracing even though Nvidia's implementation is still better. They said at around the one hour mark that the 6800 is the clear choice for AAA games.

If you compare CPU, then made sense to have more processing power.. for GPU errr?
What's the point to pay 1k for a graphics card that cannot render properly ? might as well get a low end $300 ....

If anyone wants to get the best RTX GPU... there is no other options

Saw a side by side comparison of the 6800 xt and 3080 by Optimum Tech and noticed that the AMD GPU's colors looked washed out as compared to the RTX GPU. Not a big deal but still something worth mentioning.

He mentions it around the 2min40second mark.

Once you put inside the case, you will barely see it even with TG lah...
The worse the is the half baked RTX which either don't show up or black patch which you have live with it in the games for the next few years... be warned!

Went to SLS this morning.

Zotac 3080 Trinity OC $1279 and Holo Amp $1309 at Dynacore. Better price than Carousell listing but still little high for my taste.

The rest of the shops only have 3090.

I was in the shoes after watching reviews. But the 3080 was available in Newegg and I waited for the 2 months for it to be available - it is now or never.

I must admit that RX 6800XT is very attractive and comparable with 3080 minus RT and DLSS. But I not prepared to wait for months for it to be available - the same F5ing cycle. Expect the same ******** of scalpers and SLS only sell with full system bundle.

I only know everybody avoiding the Trinity like the plague but wonder how is the Holo Amp model?

PO with itgeek in Lazada if you want local stocks.
Else your best bet is to continue to monitor Amazon as Newegg SG does not carry any Asus 3080 anymore.

I was also monitoring Asus US store and preparing to ship using comgate. But for this- you must be fast hand and leg as Asus do drop cards in the middle of night and it is gone instantly.

3000series is ahead of the RTX curve for at least 1-2yrs, start to worry when 4000 series or 7900XT launch....
