Yes Amex TCB do get cash back for grab top up.
Application process is very easy and fast.

Amex also has better CSO compared to UOB for sure
What is the difference between these 2 cards? I am told the Amex one have some exclusion. And the UOB one have slightly higher cashback.

Amex TCB from Amex SG and absolute from UOB.

Absolute has slightly higher cashback (1.7%) compared to Amex TCB which is 1.5%.

If you prefer to use contactless payment using mobile apps like samsung pay or apple pay, then your choice should be Amex TCB only.

I'm not sure for Absolute, but for TCB cashback process is very straight forward.
You will get cashback within the same month of your statement.

Amex also do offer cashback promotion from time to time on top of normal cashback so definitely worth card to use/keep

If you are asking me, Amex TCB for sure. 1.7% and 1.5% is not that big difference.
In fact, you will get welcome bonus from Amex, 3% cashback for 6months for the first 5k spend
As I mentioned earlier, Amex CSO is better than most of the CSO from other banks here so if you are looking for longer relationship, Amex surely will be a good choice

Again, application process is very easy and fast why not try to apply one for yourself?

If I apply today, when will I get the approval? Within a week? I think Amex is 3 days. What about UOB?

Not sure UOB cause I don't have card with them.
If Amex, I applied on Tuesday, received card on Thursday within the same week. Very fast!

Why didn't you ask whoever told you about Amex's exclusions to explain the UOB card to you?

Just got my UOB absolute cash back. 1.7% of the statement for May.
I applied the UOB Absolute 2 days before Amex and still got lots of **** from UOB asking for this document and that document. Decided to try Amex and it took me 3-5 min to fill a form and card got approved in less than 2 days. LOL! My UOB application still ding dong back and forth. Just nice can withdraw my UOB application. Super impressed with Amex. It is time those old ****ers learn from other banks.

One thing good about this card vs AMEX TCB. It has like 10x the credit limit than my AMEX TCB.

is grab wallet top up part of your spending?
Yes, it forms 90-100% of my statement.

When did u apply for the card? I have received the statement but no cashback indicated.
first day of the card release. got about a week later. started spending in may. cashback will not be awarded in the same statement as your spending, it will only reflect on the next statement month. cheers.

it's normal. amex has very low threshold for credit limit as compared to other banks. has nothing to do with priority/privileged status

That's normal I think. Max credit is usually across different cards
most banks credit limit shared across cards, Amex and HSBC have separate credit limit for each card, each being a fraction of the credit limit of other banks.

Strange. I thought foreign banks are more generous. Usually if u get a $30k credit limit from local banks, Citibank can grant you $100-120k credit limit. Haha. Yes. The credit limit are usually shared for most banks. Granting separately also kind of strange
