This will be of interest to Singaporeans who want to open IBKR U.S LLC account. Someone found a loophole on how to do this and shared the tip in a Singapore IBKR telegram group.

I just signed up for IB and planning to transfer my existing holdings to it. Can i just ask how do i key in trade if i wish to buy XXX $ amount of shares? In Saxo, it allows me to key in $$$ amount of shares i wish to purchase but i cannot find this in IB platform.

You need to enable fractional shares first

Someone was asking how to select Tiered pricing. Please note that this takes a day to take effect.

From their FAQ page:

How can I choose the tiered commission pricing structure?​

CHANGE PRICING STRUCTURE
Use the button above or follow the below procedure to review and/or change your commission election:

1. Log in to Client Portal.
2. Click the User menu (head and shoulders icon in the top right corner) followed by Manage Account.
3. From the Configuration pane, select the gear-shaped icon alongside the IBKR Pricing Plan line item.
4. You will then be presented with drop-down menus for selecting Fixed or Tiered pricing by product category.
5. Click CONTINUE and follow the prompts on the screen.
6. A confirmation screen will provide the date on which the new commission structure will be effective, displayed in US Eastern time.

Please Note

• IBKR offers both Fixed and Tiered Options pricing structures for markets in Europe and Asia. The costs will vary based on the exchange and product traded. Clients wishing to utilize Tiered commissions for European and Asian Stock Options must select Tiered pricing for Stocks through Client Portal. European and Asian Index Options are considered part of the Futures pricing scheme. Trading volume is combined with Futures and FOP trading volume for the tier break consideration. They will not be combined with the monthly trading volume of stock options when determining commissions. Clients wishing to utilize Tiered commissions for European and Asian Index Options must select Tiered pricing for Futures & FOPs through Client Portal.
• The Fixed pricing model for US Options is only available to IBKR Lite accounts.

SG cannot trade metal while LLC can.

Stocks reinvestment only available on LLC.

More cash deposit options in LLC

And lower margin rates. 1.6% vs 2.6% as of now which is almost 60% cheaper. I just submitted a request to reopen my LLC account after it got closed due to inactivity when I shifted my assets over to SG.

I think you might not be able to do that.

Hi, in regards with referral by registering IBKR SG:

1. Referrer gets $200 after a full year if the referree maintains USD10K.
2. Referree gets $1 in IBKR shares for every $100 of value. Also get paid after a full year.

Am I getting this right?
