Hi guys - I have an ETF which dividend payment date is yesterday 13 July. However, I haven't seen the dividends paid into my IB account yet. Is this normal, and when can I expect payment?

Expect a couple of days delay for custodians.

I didn't know that. Have been using phone app most of the time
Yes, at least these four:

Client Portal
WebTrader
Trader Workstation (TWS)
IBKR Mobile

IBKR Mobile is then subdivided a bit since it looks a bit different on an iPad v. iPhone, for example. There are also some third party user interfaces that plug into IB's APIs. Examples include Medved Trader and NinjaTrader. The third party options are generally for professional and semi-professional traders.

Don't like a particular UI? Try another one!

probably. I started with tiger mobile, but wanted to use ibkr for option trading. but it's not really responsive when getting around the apps.

I'm using Android btw.
Are you talking about price data? Or anything you click will just lag?

maybe is not optimised for Android

if you are not using Android for IBKR, which platform are you using that doesn't lag? maybe you can recommend him try it out.

Eh I don’t think poster will change to iOS just for that right

just checking - are you on iOS? confirm IBKR no lag on iOS?

some traders make a few thousand dollars a day and a lag free trading setup is an investment

So I was clarifying what lag are you referring to?

interface lag or price data or what else?

mainly on interface. especially during switching of apps, ibkr will sometimes take around 5 to 7 secs to log in again. when startup, it will take around 10 to 15 sec before the main screen pops up.

as for data and trade execution, I have yet to really spend a considerable time to fiddle with it, as I'm still exploring the various features of the platform.

Ah the login lag.

I think this is to do with their security which I agree they need to fix.

but switching of app once you have logged in shouldn’t take so long though. There shouldn’t be any login unless the app got dropped from memory

When we buy US share, can we sell the share the next day? In SG CDP account, it will contra but not sure how it works for IBKR Cash (custodian) account. Funds is immediately deducted, so do we have to wait for T + 2 settlement before we can sell?

Yes, but note that you can't use the proceeds of the sell to buy more shares before both the buy and the sell order settle at T+2.

Ok, good info. So basically after a Sell, have to wait for proceeds to come in after T + 2 before can use them.
