In episode 1, the 1st game ā€œRed light, Green lightā€, it’s a giveaway that player 001 is not simply a player as he’s only one smiling away as the players around him got killed. Then in 4th game ā€œGabbasā€, he’s the only one (loser) who’s wasn’t shown being shot as the camera faded away before gunshot heard. Any case, the tug-of-war and glass bridge were my favourite.

not really he could be an old person so to him die or not doesn't matter so it doesn't tells anything beside he says he having cancer.

squid feels too unoriginal, that's the problem...
like see before, copy from somewhere that kind of feel...

japanese better with pacing, be it liar game or alice in borderland..
difference between korean and jap ish jap however make it too anime-like, while korean one more like real life...

basically is a cross btw gantz and battle royale... prefers alice... much closer to the manga albeit the manga more dark just like battle royale manga... squid game is just a watered-down and weaker ver of alice~~ :frown:

on the topic of the old man

a bit 马后ē‚® of me of me to say this since i didn't guess the old man's secret identity while watching but...

1) he is kind of weird in episode 2. i don't understand why he chose to leave when he has nothing to lose
2) no back story until last episode. every important character has something told about them except him
3) when the police was reading the info of the contestants, the 1st page is contestant 002

I prefer 3%.

Every year, each 20-year-old gets a chance to make it to the island paradise by taking a series of tests. Only three percent of the candidates succeed and qualify to leave the impoverished Inland area.

Squid game reminds me of everyday Sinkies' lives...

Wake up with a number, go to a place don't know what will happen, compete with others using watever game 'skills'.....winner go eat lunch and sleep, repeat.
