for ac1200g+, its best to use lan cable to connect to it 192.168.1.1 and change from there. You could also use your phone browser and type 192.168.1.1 and change from there, but it will disconnect after you have hit the 'apply'

thanks ... yes, figured that others r on AUTO, just like I was.

I only found out about Wifi Analyser yesterday.

somehow, in my area the lower bands ie 36 to48 r always jammed ... with like 17 APs

now I set to 165 ... only 1 AP (suppose myself ?) :)

yes I m using LAN to connect RT1200 to switch channel from my laptop ... but the ASUS Router Mgr does not list the mid range channels from 116 to 144 (all of them have zero APs)

Hey guys, i'm thinking to switch over from Singtel to M1 using the safra promo which will be getting Asus AX55 (FOC).

this seemed like a very good deal, especially when they also waive the Activation Fee .... but only for NEW sign-ups

i wished Telcos could treat their Existing Customers better ... most deals r reserved for new sign ups

Can use either 1 or 3 of above.
According to the website LINK it is as follows:-

UNII-1 [For Home, Office, Business Area]
UNII-2 [Routers with DFC and TPC]
UNII-3 [For Industrial, Scientific, Medical Devices]
UNII-4 [For Military Stations and Sensitive Communication]

Can use 3 with 80 Mhz good performance at -56dBm.

@eauyong .. Thanks !

so far 165 seems to be very stable & strong

from Wifi app, the 5GHz band seemed to be bunched up at 36 to 48 & 149 to 161 ;)

For my location, 165 is the odd ball of the lot from 149 to 165. And, yes no one else is using 165, same for 149 to 161. (y)

You can always wait, just 4 more days right? :s13:

But I doubt there's gonna be any promo, 29 for 500Mbps and 39 for 1Gbps is about as cheap as internet gets in Singapore.

Just saw 11.11 promo for starhub, didn't see any for M1. Think I'll just go for Starhub.

Ah, thanks, didn't see this. it says "with top-up for ASUS ZenWiFi XD6 (Pack of 2) / Linksys E8450 (2 units) / Linksys Velop Tri-Band Whole Home Mesh Wi-Fi System (Pack of 3) / ASUS RT-AX88U Router at the point of sign-up" though.. not sure if I'm understanding it correctly, but does it mean that you have to get one of the top ups to be eligible for 3 months free subscription?

If you base your decision on the offer, then Starhub is the better one with 4 month free offer.

11.11 promo ongoing for starhub now. Seems like a pretty good deal - 4 months free, comes with Starhub smart wifi etc.

New sign ups enter promo code FREE4MTH to enjoy FREE 4 months subscription ($45.90/month thereafter). Effective price at $38.25/month
12 months Disney+ worth $143 at no extra cost
FREE 2 units Smart WiFi worth $398 (for new sign ups)
Free 6 months Junior Protect Basic
For better WiFi coverage, top up $4/month (U.P. $8/month) for Smart WiFi with a 24-month installation plan

I want to re-contract. Does this mean I can get 3 months free, plus free router OR paid router (choose 1 out of 4 mentioned)?

Sound to me. To get the free 3 month you need to TOP UP to to get a router listed to enjoy The 3 month promo.

You will get the three months free with your recontract once you top up for the extra fees on the router mentioned for this promotion. No free router.

#4 is really bad, it is even more expensive than outside price. Challenger is selling the Velop triband tri-pack at S$338.
https://www.hachi.tech/biz-solution...fi-system-pack-of-3-whw0303ah0--0745883728244
#3 RT-AX88U is not really worth buying as you can get Courts offer for RT-AX86U special edition at less than S$340.

#2 Asus Zenwifi XD6 (AX5400) 2-pack seems to be a very good offer, especially if you can use Ethernet backhaul.

#1 Linksys E8450 AX3200 is also not a bad offer but #2 is much better.

1) Linksys E8450 (2 units) by topping up an additional $10/mth

2) ASUS ZenWifi XD6 (Pack of 2) by topping up an additional $11/mth

3) ASUS RT-AX88U by topping up an additional $13/mth

4) Linksys Velop Tri-Band Whole Home Mesh Wi-Fi System (Pack of 3) by topping up an additional $15/mth

5) Apple iPad (32GB) by topping up an additional $23.90/mth

32GB iPad is a product that shoud never exist, don't ever go for that option.

For sure that does not seems to be a good offer.

On the hand, 32GB iPad is still useful. We actually got two iPads with 32GB storage at home for the kids, one is 2018 model and one is 2019 model. My daughter actually prefers to use the iPad for HBL than the laptop even though occasionally the iPad does not work well.

Actually our previous iPads have only 16GB, iPad 2 (2011-2018) and iPad Mini 1 (2013-). Interestingly the iPad Mini 1 is still working.
