Why does Singapore even bother?

If someone wanted to destroy Singapore, a few bombs would do it; the military would be obliterated in a week max. There's not even remotely enough anti-air in Singapore or it's surrounding waters to mount a defense, judging from the Singapore's government's own records.

Our military also just stands by and watches while the world burns and evil spreads across the world. The government is even too scared to stand up for peace, instead benefiting from playing friends on both sides. It's shameful.

So what's the point? A fun holiday for Singapore males?

It's an open trade secret. We are not in a good defensive position. Everyone and their mother know wheres the camps and supplies location is at Sg. Why do you think the old tiger goes around the world to shake others leader's hands, to borrow or buy land to build Saf camps around the world? Its not only for live firing exercise to test the unit you know.

There is nothing to defend once the carpet bombing commence. Saf is and only a counter-strike forces, à la avengers counter-strike unit.

if you had ever done NS before, you'd understand that SAF would never fight on SG soil. that's why we maintain air superiority with a larger and more capable/reliable fighter force, will airdrop commandos to seize sufficient frontage and buffer area, and constantly practice attack manoeuvres from infantry landing craft.
