the problem with the last GE was the PAP SK team is too new to the residents except for Lam PM which was involved in the PMD ban saga.

That's why this Sengkang team is announced early.

That said, I think there's a good chance that Sengkang will be a close fight in the upcoming GE.

It won't be as easy as what TS said.

Can't expect WP to solve the issues overnight.

Plus, all the problems created by PAP in the last 50+ years... it will take a lot of time for WP to unravel and think of solutions.

True. I think WP is stretched since the RK saga (and also because she left) and it likely affects how residents view them.

That being said, despite the challenges, Aljunied has continued to offer their support (although lesser after the TC saga), so there's a good chance that Sengkang may result in similar results as well.

Based on results, WP's polling results will fall in the next GE. However, the decline in results did not lead to them losing their GRC or SMC, with the exception of Punggol perhaps, but even Punggol isn't a convincing win.
