Open Booking of Flats. Open Booking of Flats lets you apply for a flat online any time throughout the year and to book a unit as soon as the next working day.

It's first come first serve, meaning everybody will be on standby before 12am so as to try getting their application done ASAP once the window opens after mid night.

No penalty for OBF even if you don't turn up, just more $$ for HDB :ROFLMAO:

There is an official OBF thread by me, you can read the thread to get a better idea.

I understand your point. What are your future plans in getting a home?
One of the considerations is we couldn't get the HLE in time for the appt. Not sure whether we die die need one before the appt or what is the risk that HDB will reject.

Most likely we will go for resale a few years down the line.

No need approved HLE for selection.

I see, since you can wait for a couple of years, just take the time to source a unit that tick the boxes for your family.

paiseh got more questions, just ask ask. how is the appointment like ah? is it very rush type? no need to view and select house ah? just go and say which unit and do paper work?

3 To help us keep each transaction within 30 minutes, please ensure that you bring along all the documents listed in Annex 1 in the invitation package and the payments required.
OBF will be launched a week before application starts after mid night (so that interested applicants can check out what's up for sale).

The number you get depends on how fast you complete application after mid night. If you're really fast, selection can be as soon as next day.

Oh, just pop in 30 minutes before your scheduled time on the day of selection.

Get a number from the kiosk (any earlier the kiosk will not issue number), sit and wait for an officer to flash your number on the large monitor display, usually on or later than your scheduled timing.

When you're at the officer's counter, just let him/her know the unit you want to select, officer will block the unit if it's available then proceed with paperwork.

You can upload any missing documents within 2 weeks after your selection (if I remember correctly) to MyDoc@HDB.

Actually it's the same for BTO/SBF/OBF, you'll have to shortlist a couple of units in terms of ranking before going for selection.

The 3D models are useful because there will be people that cannot visualize a 3D image in their head.

There is no penalty only for OBF, BTO and SBF will penalize unless HDB waive base on their own criteria (usually is left low floors and your selection number is beyond 100%).

i see yesterday like just left those "unwanted" i supposed :s13: as expected.

it's quite fun trying to understand why some units noone choose:s13:

Haha, yes that's very true.

However, most of the time, there wouldn't be a single stack that has all the positive designs.

HDB has grown smarter over the years to reduce bad designs and spread out positive ones across stacks.
