Where do you guys wait for Grab after crossing causeway?

I waited at City Square, then got one time, the grab driver was on the other side of the mall. I also cannot speak Malay, so a bit troublesome.

I normally pick the popular /main /recommended one shown in the app. In this case, JB Semtral Main Entrance and this has a clause saying it's "opposite City Square".

Initially during pre-Covid I used to head to Komtar JBCC where you can see a Grab Pickup sign these days. IIRC that's during the "early Grab period" when taxis weren't exactly used to their presence.

Sometime later I started going across the road to JB Sentral after some drivers ended there. But bookings from there later saw them landing at the other side that's facing CIQ. So before Covid hit I've been going to JB Sentral facing CIQ.

That's until my return this year when I noticed they'd put up barriers making it inconvenient for pedestrians to board (you can see the situation down on your right as you approach JB Sentral), that I checked the app and saw the JB Sentral Main Entrance (facing City Square) option.

City Square (Levi's entrance) has never been a desired Grab pick up point as there's no waiting allowed there. Whenever I'd to book from there for some reasons, most drivers were already waiting along the road outside or asked me to step out.

Hey guys what are the CW bus that i can take from jurong and what are the suggested places that I could go. I seen a note that CW6 from Boon Lay is still not available.
i have not took CW bus before and have not been through the second link so not sure of the places and how to get there. Best if bus will drop me off directly at the mall.
Thanks for any advices!

You can refer to this site https://businterchange.net/johorbus/info/tips/129-going-to-johor-bahru-via-2nd-link.html
You can take either CW3 from Jurong East or CW7 from Tuas Link MRT Station.
The procedure is as follows: Take bus from Jurong East/Tuas Link - you can pay by EZ-Link card. Fare from JE is $5 and $4.50 from Tuas Link. Keep your bus ticket as you may need to show it when re-boarding the bus.
Alight at Tuas Checkpoint for Immigration Check. After that, you can take any CW bus to cross the Second Link Bridge. Once reach Malaysia side, alight and clear Malaysia Immigration checks. After that, walk to the furthest queue to wait for the CW3 bus to Bukit Indah. If unsure, ask the bus driver. It should take about 20+ minutes to reach Aeon Bukit Indah.
Most people would go to Aeon Bukit Indah from second link as the bus stops directly outside the mall.
When returning, you can board at the same bus stop - wait for the CW3L bus. The return fare is 6RM, prepare exact amount as no change will be given.

Inside city square lv2 or 3 got a shop selling All the Malaysian products. I saw the peanut candy but not sure is it this brand or from Ipoh. I also saw food stuff from penang.
Of cos prices are slightly higher but still bearable. Can try ur luck there.

Have not been to Toppen but from vids, I think their pickup point is not far from the road/entrance?

For Aeon Tebrau, I've only called Grab once from the mall's exit. Grab driver told me they'd have to drive a big round to get out (which is true from what I experienced), so I'd either go to the entrance by the road to meet them, or walked over to Lotuss (ex-Tesco) instead.

For IKEA, I noticed that the "IKEA bus stop" option is preferred otherwise the driver would have to drive all the way into the carpark. I normally walked out since I've never bought bulky/heavy stuff from there.

So easier to ask Grab driver to pick up at ikea bus stop?

IMO it’s easier for both parties unless you’re prepared for incidents where driver arrived at a different location then call you to say he's arrived, cannot go in due to long queue, or whatnot.

But you can check with those who've gone to Toppen if they've a convenient pickup point there. I've not been there...

Just check Grab app. Toppen's entrances both marked "No Waiting" and the first one marked "Popular ". 🤔

I travelling to some place further in JB and will have to cross toll.

Got a few questions to ask.
RFID-PLUS-emel-pic-130122.jpg

1) If I want to use my touch n go card, I choose the 3 dark blue lanes on the left , correct?

2) If I have a VEP RFID in my car and want to use my VEP instead of touch n go card, which lane should I choose?

Thanks..

Toppen has designated Grab pickup points, when i was there, the grab pickup points were up on the direction signs hanging from the ceiling; those pointing to toilet or escalator etc...
