Back from Tenerife, technically part of Spain. Nice beaches though we are not exactly beach people but can understand why some people find it relaxing to lie there and relax. Some nice restaurants and moderate hike to Mt Teide summit (remember to apply permit in advance).

I always thought that the Canary Islands are rather exotic and inaccessible. Only when I'm Europe did I realise it is a popular vacation spot with numerous airlines flying there and the islands belong to Spain. Another trip I would like to do soon in Spain is to hike Mulhacen. Maybe will fly in to Malaga and self drive to Mulhacen for the hike, continue to Granada for sight seeing then back to Malaga.

Got 5d4n and I intend to spend in Tenerife. I’m there to just chill on the beach, see some sights, drink and eat

Issit worthwhile in march (3rd week) or will it be too cold for the beach? I read the weather will be about 22ish degrees in the day in march and the web says it’s a fine time to start getting a tan. but as a person from a tropical country 22 sounds cold hahaha

22 is not cold! bring a sweater though and more if you intend to visit the mountains.

Enjoy! There are some great restaurants (some Michelin ones if you are inclined) which you can make advance reservations. :)
