just not worth the price. QD Oled definitely better where you can go Wow when u see the picture quality in relation to its brightness.

the comments there mentioned that disabling smart energy mode solved it.

but.. matte screen is no go...

So far, these energy saving mode is not ideal for OLED. It affects brightness level greatly. My OLED TV can get so dim that I thought its broken.

no ah glossy. its marketed as semi glossy. but to me its glossy. similar to my LG CX tv.

Most of the time i run in SDR mode too. And i not using max brightness as its too bright for me.
I see, I am intending to use dual monitor setup. Currently 2x 27 Lg GL850. Thinking of getting the 27 oled as my main gaming monitor, not sure if can fit the aw3423 on my desk with the second 27 monitor lol

hello gurus, this thread is very informative.

i currently have a LG 27UD88 (4K 3840x2160), and am thinking of adding another 27" (at the same resolution) for a dual-monitor setup or just buy a new 34"/32" ultrawide as an upgrade. This is just for my WFH purpose, no gaming.

for 27" -> I've identified the Dell U27 older series or the LG 27UL500

for ultrawide -> LG 34" QHD WP series or Dell S32 series (U series older models might fit budget)

I don't wanna spend more than $700 where possible and obviously want value-for money, any suggestions?

**I previously had a Prism X300 + my 27UD88 as dual setup and it was terrible due to the curve + straight and the difference in resolutions + the gap in between due to the monitor arms

Went to Funan to check AW3423DWF, the fan noise is like gaming laptop. Its current price is discounted at $1,459.

I feel samsung odyssey OLED G8 has better build and better picture. But the price is whopping $2,688. Any idea to get cheaper price for samsung monitor?

UW monitors are generally not heavy, unless you are using something like a Samsung Odyssey G9. Most cheap monitor arm will work. It makes no difference. They may be cheap, but no perceivable difference from one that cost a lot more. One good brand I have in mind is Northen Bayou.
