Next i feel Herman has been typecasted for those funny, non serious roles already. Plus he doesn't have the aura. He got the supporting actor type of face.

Maybe the response for the DA drama was not well received and he became the goat for causing the station to spend so much money and effort on it.
It is much cheaper making uncle and auntie drama and the dividend is much higher.
The station is too cheapskate and too stagnant in expanding out of their small zone.
