Yeah. :X Got UOB One Card already. Might use it though if there is any merchant got promotion with that card since there is no annual fee lifetime. Is the Ergotune Supreme v3 really even worth the $599 price tag or even $330 cash given in that promotion?

icic i am using UOB one card along with the UOB one account. Getting free $416 in interest every month as they currently have 5 percent interest on the $100k. just need to put in $100k in the UOB one account, have salary credit to the account and spend $500 every month ( in which i sure hit when i buy groceries n online stuff)

if u ask me whether worth or not, i cant say, cuz i dont use that chair. I look at it and it seems very plasticky build. I am a Herman Miller Aeron user and that is my end game chair. I nv bother about other chairs already haha..

i am a heavy chair user because i work from home and sit on my aeron for more than 9 hours every day.

An update on my replacement backrest -

Unwanted Import's silence continued as expected; no emails from them at all. I would have expected a negative response for warranty at the very least but got absolutely nothing from them. I will definitely stay away from them in the future.

My new backrest came through from newstar after 6 weeks of waiting. A technician came by to do the replacement, was quite forceful when removing the lumbar support and ended up cracking a part of the frame:

It still works fine, but makes me wonder how long it will hold up.

Upon notifying Newstar, they came back saying that they will provide a replacement. Unfortunately, to my surprise they delivered the Aeron Classic lumbar support instead, and upon querying, I was told that they do not have ready stock of the remastered lumbar support as it costs much more ($200+), is more complex to order and will take much longer to arrive.

At this point I'm too tired to pursue anything further and will just live with my fixed backrest along with my semi-broken lumbar support. If anyone knows of a better solution, let me know.

ngl you got punked big time by newstar. You paid them to do a job and they damaged your property in the process. It's only right that they order the replacement part and get it replaced.

my aeron bought from there dirty AF, took off the mesh and received the shock of my life, got lumps of sand and dirt inside.. their refurbished is not even refurbished.

Since Jan 2018. I was the early adopter of the Remastered. As per unwanted's website, the first batch did have mesh issues.

i think the later batches of aeron remastered also use different materials such as ocean plastics etc.

my pair of aeron remastered bought from audiosg in 2021/2022 still looks new. Mesh also still ok. Heavy user here with 8 to 9 hours a day sitting on it.

So decided to finally get the Aeron remastered from audiosg with atlas headrest. Apart from the sticker below the seat pan indicating made in usa, are there any other indication that i lookout for so that it’s legit from the usa? Or that’s it?

Thanks! Btw I realized the graphite model the base is…plastic (glass -filled nylon? Any concern to aluminum instead?

reinforce nylon vs alu can be stronger or weaker depending on use case. Alu is more brittle so it’s more vulnerable to shock ie, someone heavy dropping on the chair while seating but nylon would resist this because it is more ductile.

but for continued forces, like constant high weight, nylon would work against it, hence Alu would be stronger.

so…. That means the durability of the nylon is shorter compared to the alu?

It just means under normal use and you take good care of it, both will work fine without durability problem.
If you move house a lot nylon might be better since it takes shock better. If you are so heavy that it is out of the spec or higher end of the threshold, maybe aluminium is more durable.
In short, it does not matter just buy whichever makes you happy.

anyone use a carpet below their chairs? Office have carpet tile so shiok. I tried the paste on carpet (very thin and the sticky portion is not glue, just a sticky rubber material) and even those living room type (more like bath mats construction) but the material is thin and will crumple when rolled over the edge. Even tried those baby mats but feels weird after long periods.

Was thinking this below, anyone have bought one or have similar type? I dont want to buy the office tile and glue to my floor yet.

I tried the omnidesk embrace pro chair. The herman miller is more comfy in the upright position when compared but unfortunately you can't really lounge in it so considering the embrace pro as it feels rather decent. Anyone has any feedback on the embrace pro or know any oem versions of it?

No idea what is wrong with my UI HM Aeron. Backrest suffered mesh damage without anything cutting/poking/tangling it in Dec 2021. Got it replaced in the same month and year. Now 1 year and 4 months later, the replacement backrest also suddenly gave way while sitting on it upright and resting my back on it.

Worse still, the Unwanted Imports "contact us" page is not working when submitting claims.
