i see JHK car can drive for more than 10yrs and working well......if i want to buy a COE car, which brand/model can i consider? my friend told me Merc is the best option as very reliable even after 10 yrs.

Toyota no. 1. Honda no. 2. Or you can choose Lexus also, which is a Toyota regardless.

There are two ways to go with COE cars..
You either get an expensive german-engineered kind and hope the previous owner is one of those ultra careful, hardly drive, every issue must rectify type.

Or else you go for a Toyota. Mileage will be super high but the inherent reliability will still carry you through another 5 plus years.

Toyota is the most reliable. 80's Mercedes also quite reliable. Nissan is a far away third. Honda if well maintained otherwise quite troublesome.
