Quiet quitting refers to opting out of tasks beyond one’s assigned duties and becoming less psychologically invested in work.

According to a recent survey by human resources agency Randstad of 1,000 respondents between 18 and 67 in Singapore, 35 per cent have quiet quit their job. This is 4 per cent higher than the global average.

Among those who indicated they had quiet quit, 41 per cent said they have done so to improve work-life balance, while 38 per cent said it was because of the low compensation and rising cost of living. About 33 per cent cited a lack of career growth opportunities for quiet quitting.

In an ideal world where anyone completed their own job, and that include boss and manager hiring enough and plan job properly. Everyone complete their job liao you want to do task beyond your job also no chance!

So in that ideal world where everyone completed their own job, everyone quiet quitter?

It is because more people realize that no more loyalty in company.
Company can just kick people out when things go wrong.

Not surprised such a high %%%

nowaday where got any more ppl are so strong passion on their jobs???? Most are working or 'force' to work to pay bills, put food on table and expensese for kids only...

Plus all the unfairness on FTs easily come in with dubious degree and can easily get high pay jobs same as you.

You still have motivation??? You can't wait to F curse them and the boss!

For me I just do what I'm supposed to do. Once I'm done I just pack my things and go home. I will still reply to messages but only if it's important.
