You know.. when he went from Minister to Speaker in 2017, many were already discussing possible reasons why. He didn't give any indication.

To me the one that comes out of all this looking the worst is Pinky… what a way to end your “legacy” as PM.

We already knew he can’t even get his family affairs in order and that his husband wears the pants at home.

But in the span of a few short weeks, he has outdone himself and shown he seriously lacks control over his party of scholars and generals which is supposed to be the paragon of governance (their own logic used to justify their pay). Turns out that all this while, it has been wild Wild West inside the PAP. So much for the succession planning that we have heard so much about in the last 20 years.

Just like that, he has lost 4 MPs and 2 3G ministers. Plus another 2 3G ministers exposed and judged in the public eye for serious COI. These ministers are HIS men, the buck stops at him.

Basically he has failed very miserably at any aspect of 修身,齐家, or 治国.

Anyway, if I’m KJ or LT, I will use this as a chance to both call for GE, and also question the need for so many MPs in the first place if Pinky maintains that GE is not needed.
