Seems promising

anyone feel 云之羽 too slow-paced?? I am 1/3 through, but nothing much is actually happening, and all the talking feels soooo slow-mooooo
not to mention the lead couple, their acting is bad... Esther Yu as usual, doesn't disappoint with her expressionless face and robotic delivery of lines

the saving grace currently is the 2nd leads' acting and the comedic antics of the eldest sister

The pace only picks up towards the end... have some twists at the end too, but tbh they were leaked on social media when the earlier episodes were airing already

The supporting actors are more interesting to watch compared to the main leads even though ZLH is handsome! As for , hais...

Maybe 异人之下 is worth a watch? It's really climbed up in popularity since it started airing, always in the top 3 shows recently.

异人之下 gonna finish soon also by next week ..i watched the anime so initially watch because curious if the live action adaption is good .. and its actually quite good .. its one of the rare modern shows i watch for cdrama .. but because it has fighting and fantasy elements .. else dont think i will start

Am more picky about modern shows too... not following 异人之下 but have to say, 侯明昊 looks very good in the poster and screenshots I've seen! And from the trailer, the FL speaks with a regional accent?

yes some character speak with accent .. same with the anime .. is to give the characters more depth .. cause the FL "grew up" in the rural china .. hence acquired the accent

not bad lah .. the storyline and plot is slowly fed to you .. thats why initially no traction but as you watch on .. there are more and more stories behind the main plot

cheng yi is better in those period drama like 莲花楼. 莲花楼 is not bad.

Power! Moi watched until 2am to 3am last night then couldn't take it already Now at last 2 episodes...

Finally seeing more fight scenes in ep 22, the 1v1 with 上官浅 and 金繁 was nicely staged They should have less slow-talking and childhood flashbacks and more of such scenes!

I FF the main leads scenes if its not those important scenes, they are boring as heck and poor acting

Esther seriously needs to go to acting class, her acting is damn bad, the difference is magnified further when you see her acting in same scenes as Ryan and Lu Yu Xiao, they totally crushed her, especially LYX.
Gonna be honest, shes neither pretty nor cute, no improvement in her mediocre acting since her debut few years back, wonders how she kept getting main roles

Oh the live action adaptation is good? Still at season 4 of the anime... maybe start the live drama after the anime

yup not bad .. i find it ok .. but of course, certain sexual references were removed like the 阿威十八式 .. still mention the main one but the stance name removed hahaha

i think the live one will end around season 3 or 4 ..

season 5 the story abit deep so i dont think they will do it
