I realised the gold price in malaysia is significantly cheaper compared to SG. For example, 916 price is about SGD80+ whereas SG is 100+? Is it cheaper to buy in malaysia? Is there something i am missing out on?

Their ringgit prices are a few times more than Sg, when converted may be more expensive. Not worth to buy certain things there. Custom will stop you. Some things are not allowed here. If caught, may fine and things confiscated, not worth it.

But how come price of 916 and 999 gold is cheaper in malaysia? If u buy a similar design and same weight in malaysia, it should be cheaper right?

If u buy gold bar 5g n above. No need to pay gst. Jewellery only china n HK is selling pure gold (24k) , ah tiong doesn buy 916gold lor. Jewellery needs to incur gst + workmanship. 周大福 workmanship is the most exp but the bangle workmanship is superb

If u drop by HK go HK and buy. They sell pure gold 24k jewellery and no tax in hk. Just need to pay workmanship

reputable, cheaper, no workmanship.

unlike SG and KL, JB is the best
