if I were them, i will have realme gt neo 6 with these specs (SD 8 Gen 3 or SD 8+ Gen 2 with 24gb ram plus 240w fast charge on 6000mah.)

with this spec that you mention, probably will be on Realme gt neo 7. This Realme gt Neo series is always one step behind other competitors for chipset.

What I can say is that gt neo 5 is slightly better than poco f5. Better user experience. Cos I have both phones.

SD 8+ Gen 1 vs mediatek Dimensity 9000.
Both main camera are using IMX890.

just individual preference, u like IP54 dragontail glass protection or prefer RGB light of GT Neo 5.

also GT Neo 5 charge faster. Mine from 0-100% in 17Minutes.

overall, both are very similar phone.

Yes.. GT Neo 5 does not have much protection....

Best is to buy casing.
