more excited on how the lower end spectrum looks like: 5060/5070 since GPUs cost like 2000$ nowadays, not feasible to keep buying x080 or x090 series lol

gone are the days where high end cards are 800-900$ max lmao

not to mention u gotta have a big PSU + proper monitor to support that high end GPU. extra + extra costs

This one only a rumour right?

Anyway, Nvidia has already projected that the next gen won't come out till 2025 at the earliest. This seems to indicate that the yields/improvements are stagnating even more.

As such, I don't expect the next gen to have much of an improvement over the 40 series like the 40 series had over the 30 ones, not especially the 4090. It could be such that rasterization sees a very small (<=5%) increase and most of the improvements come from ray tracing and dlss performance instead.

:(

they already dug themselves a grave

at these prices

people will continue playing 10 year old games
developers will continue developing for 10 year old hardware (eg CS2)

no need to buy new card

I always thought as we advance through technologies and eras , we should head toward power efficiency and ground-breaking performance (all in one package) ?
limitations with current tech and chip design..
