discussions seem to have completely stopped on the fold. I must admit im still curios to try it out incase anyone wanna trade with my find n2 I'll top u.. just saying. :p without heavy intense use such as gaming will it still heat up? (seems to be the biggest issue for this so far?)

Seen a couple being sold between 1900 to 2000..

i am still on the fence..8 Pro or Pixel Fold..
I wonder if the service centre can support the fold in event that you need repairs. Even at cost my concern is the local service centre are always so uptight about telling you its an export set cannot do anything. Just looks bad on the brand.....

I dun get it though. Other than the baseband restrictions, they should offer repair solutions for battery, speaker, screen.

why dont get it ? why should they even provide support for something that google DID not market it here.

if based off your logic, everyone will just buy the cheapest export set. doesn't make sense right?

Export wasn't any cheaper to begin with. Remember I'm saying a billable repair not covered warranty if the sets are not international warranty. If we keep to a small concept of thinking not making a cent, not worth then its just not looking at the bigger picture.

For those of you who paid lets say 2.7k for the pixel, won't it ease your mind on what u spend u can still get out of warranty repair if its not international warranty?

Imho, if warranty is a concern for you, it's better to avoid getting it. the plastic will become brittle over the years, and the screen will likely break. plus, it's using the tensor g2. take a look at some examples, like the nexus 4 and nexus 5. the rubbery texture will break down and become sticky. even the nexus 7 (2012) power/volume buttons will wear out and become unusable

warranty is not a concern but the ability to get paid support from a global brand should be there. I did consider the tensor chip. curious what's the no branding hype though.

@garychengjw . sure, not here to battle about how brands provide support. good to know that they won't support even if you paid... thanks for the tips. Appreciate it.
