I looked thru the Maxx website & FAQ, but still unsure of below questions regarding Voice/ SMS roaming when overseas.

Q.1: When I'm overseas, can I receive incoming Calls (not via What's App) from Singapore? If yes, rates?

Q.2: When I'm overseas, can receive incoming SMS from Singapore? If yes, free?

That's super fast. No lah. The porting process is quite fast nowadays.
Mine from Heya to Maxx took about 2 hours the other night between 1200 to 0200. The transition could had been shorter if I had rebooted my phone early to "wake up" the Maxx signal on my Samsung phone.

let's say if contract ends 30 Nov. so porting do it on 30 Nov right?

Nope!

As a general guideline. You should always port out at least 7 days in advance before the contract end date or before the next bill cycle kicks in.

You shall not do it on the contract end date or less than 7 days before the contract end date to be safe.

It is better to lose the 7 or 6 days of usage rather than being charged a full bill for another month. Right?

Nonono...... Wait till contract fully end... then port out... For sim only then 7 days before next cycle...
You don't want to be paying penalty for porting out 7 days too early

yeah. not paying penalty. thanks. I recalled it has penalty if early termination. so I do it on the day my contract ends right.

Maxx is really good! I really cannot undestand why M1 (Maxx) was being bamobarded so bad until now?

Just look at the High UL/DL speed and the low latency reseult within my eastate/block! Everything is loading super duper fast including FB and YouTube! :)

I have never had such good result on ST backed MVNOs like VIVIFI, ZYM, Heya! 😷

Actually, i can't help wondering why your M1 network is so good. My previous experiences with MR and Changi were quite bad. I am still holding on to CL $0 plan and it is also so-so and if the network in certain time&area is busy, it will be more unusable than my redONE. 😂

I'm wondering too! :)

From my home to my work place and along my home-workplace's routes, be it by public transport or by car on the road! It is that good! :)

May be the difference is really between; "By M1" and "Leased from M1"!

BTW, for Maxx. While in overseas. Only incoming SMS/OTP (free) . No incoming calls unless one purchased a Roaming Call addon.

"Receiving SMS while connected to our preferred roaming partner is FREE.

Meanwhile, purchase any Add-On with Roaming Call bundle for your incoming and outgoing call needs while overseas. Roaming Call services will not be available once Roaming Call is fully used."

that's another deal breaker, since you are not traveling anytime soon, so not porting out soon?

No lah. I'm okay with No incoming calls while overseas and stick to Maxx for its awesome speed and coverage.

As long as I have roaming data. People still can data call me using those social Apps including work related calls.

Afterall, hardly people using phone calls now too. Even my bosses also call me using WhatsApp while I'm in overseas. lol..

is it different if you bought online vs at the store?
May be.

Wow ok, very interesting.. so only in Malaysia, indonesia, china, etc.. Maxx can make calls?

for other countries is it no incoming.
Yes. Those few countries only.

Therefore, SIMBA is the best when comes to worldwide roaming data and IDD packages but its local speed sucks lah.

Now that I don't travel a lot. So, good local speed takes priority over worldwide roaming of SIMBA.
