USA is very big, it also depends on which state u send it to. In short, dun have US address then dun shop in amazon.com.

And its also very easy to make. Just sign up with ezship and they will provide u with their USA/Shanghai address. Input their address into amazon and you will have the info you need.

And FYI, usa tax and shipping is not straightforward itself. Some states have their own sales tax which can't be avoided.

My 5800x3D gonna be delivered today, weekends shall drain loop and replace. Ordered on 23 Nov, sent out on 1 Dec, Reach SG on 5 Dec.

On a side note, since we are talking abt amazon USA and shipping to SG, i rmb amazon USA was selling 5800x3D at US$290. If we use current price of US$322.75, there will be shipping fee of US$19.56 and GST of US$27.38, making the total to be $369.69. Assuming shipping fee is same, back then will be US$290 + US$19.56 + US$24.60 (had taken current GST/ current selling and multiply with $290) = US$334.16. If use 1.34 youtrip rate, it will be S$447.

Bought mine for S$376.22 after card and promo credit discounts. So, buying from amazon USA is not cheaper than getting from amazon SG for big items. Then again, for those who knows how to shop online would have alrdy made the comparison back then and decided. Those who dunnoe are now trying to figure out but lost the deal le.

Do you know how those ezship /comgateway etc work?

They provide you a local US shipping address so that you can "buy locally". After that those logistics company will consolidate and ship out.

So effectively his 2nd paragraph helps to address the 1st paragraph whereby a person doesn't have a usa address. (because shipping direct for Large items will cost a bomb due to volumetric weight)
