I wonder what will happen if Tiktok sold to a Singapore company with no China Chinese as any stake holders ... does it mean Tiktok can continue to operate in US liao ?

Bet will chu pattern again .. yet Sinkie wanna believe Amercians politicians trust and believe in Sinkie being a neutral country and a trustworthy partner for US.

Their politicans just treat all Asian as sidekick. This is white supremacy, unspoken but the cold hard truth.
lol USA wall street already owned 60% of bytedance as early investors anyway. this bill actually hurts their interest since it will delay tiktok IPO indefinitely. they can't wait to cash out thats y there r so much resistance.

I am not necessarily anti-US, nor anti-China. I only comment according to their actions.
I do realize that on Internet there are opposing armies of paid forum commentators who are ridiculously unreasonable in their pro-USA or (in the opposing camp) pro-China views.
You can tell from their brain-dead almost robotic zealous praise of their chosen God.
Which in this case is Mammon. Since they need money from their paymasters.

sometimes it's just ignorance, spewing faithful beliefs because of media influence, since English is their only language. we also have taiwan contributing to bs, which is why america is still holding on to taiwan

The World Worst Bully at work.

Can't compete with the algorithm, force the company to sell or get ban.

Can't win a war. Drop 2 nuclear bomb at civilian population.

Can't get cheap oil. Invade countries.

Democratic and Republican lawmakers said their offices had received large volumes of calls from teenaged TikTok users who oppose the legislation, with the volume of complaints at times exceeding the number of calls seeking a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in Gaza

the forced sale of tiktok will let them prevent sending over all the young americans data to CCP which is the main point. a huge win for US. it doesn't matter that a few American investors are bagholding tiktok.

if you notice carefully, the angriest reactions come from actually China/CCP themselves and Bytedance. keep talking simi Americans livelihood gone, hold Americans livelihoods hostage. shows that they are really the ones with something to lose.

The ccp never make noise. It is tiktok ownself make noise.

Prevent data from being send over ? FB also caught selling users info to China liao and nothing is done to Mark Zuckerberg..... as long got money and enough money many american companies will also readily sell the data to China company (may be CCP related or not) at the right price.

Only naive people believe US BS they wanna protect their citizens and their data and security ..etc.

Just to clarify, US did win the war even without nuclear weapons. The government wanted to reduce American casualties as the Japanese were taught not to surrender as their troops were in kamikaze mode putting soldiers at unnecessary risk.

Every country's government is a bully of some sort. Heck even PAP is a bully.

The U.S. also wanted to test the world's first atomic bomb in actual combat to ascertain its effectiveness.

Hiroshima was supposed to be targeted because, the city's size and layout made it a suitable test site for the bomb's destructive power, and the concentration of military and munitions facilities was another factor in the decision, while most of Japan's other major cities had already been destroyed by air attack at the last stages of the war.

Secondly, at the Yalta Summit in February 1945 that the Soviet Union would enter the war against Japan. The entrance of Soviet Union would probably result in the Soviets beating the Japanese. And the American can't claim as the Country that put a stop to the World War.
