He never expect it to work like flagship, just that below his expectations.
all non flagships cutting corners at the same part:
1. haptics
2. non ltpo screen (but this has pwm dimming surprisingly). after my s24u, i realise how important this is for me... eyes hurt when looking at the phone at night in a dimly lit room
3. cheaper build quality (plastic frame, plastic back)
4. cameras
5. slower speed ram, slower speed storage

well, give and take ba... just need bear in mind this is a 400+ phone...

At the same price range sub $400+, seems like Poco X6 Pro is a better buy than Nothing 2a
too bad I'll never go back to a Poco phone for various reasons since I use Poco in the past before :s27:

Same for me, been using MIUI for some years, quite sick of it. If Nothing slots in a 8300 series chip/DDR5/UFS3.1 in 2a and price at $550-$580, I am more inclined to take it. Unfortunately, they are targeting the Indian market and undercut the competition with OS optimisation. They probably didn't dare to put in X6P in their comparison video below.

Not just that, Poco tries to put in high end parts into cheap motherboards and such, while it looks great on paper, poco phones hardly lasts for me, even on the F series. So glad Nothing exists since they really optimise their chipsets, as well as the battery which not many does. Used the samsung for a while and I hate how hot it gets even with light usage, but I never experience this issue on phone 2 as well. Really regretted selling that away :(

can understand why they never include that because specs wise, it'll blow 2a out of the water, but try using it for a few years... chances are they'll have to change phones...involuntarily. I trust Nothing's build quality over poco anyday. :o

I don't think it will feel good to you ba.. I tried it myself also.. tbh.. once u use flagships it's hard to go back to mid rangers..
I understand where you are coming from but I need a cheaper phone for rougher work use. Using flagship seems quite wasteful. Weekend or after work then use back flagship phone. But just toyinf with the idea. $499 is v appealing 😅

I tried it out very briefly and my very first thought was that it's like a toy/dummy phone???

Very light phone for it's size... :s13:
I had the same sentiments about Nothing's flagship model compared to my pixel 7. Sometime I think manufacturers purposely make the phone heavier to satisfy those "influencers" who keep associating heavier phone=premium feel. I much rather have a lighter plastic cheaper flagship than a "premium brick" in my pants pocket.
