Good riddance.
before covid that year, i once entered the shop to ask for some stuffs and also some paints.

the fecking lao c.b gave 4 words reply.
Me: Do you have this xxxx ?
Lao C.b : No stock.
Me : Then when is the next availability?
Lao C.b : Not sure.

Serve you right. Should have up lorry ages ago.

Sell parts, models, kits all expensive than overseas (+ shipping).

Yes, a bit too expensive... even when I wanted to pick up a model and some accessories for fun, the prices put me off as they were just a few simple pieces of plastic and stickers.

Sad to see it go,

Tamiya was quite popular back then during the 1997-98 era to the extent even some shops in HDB converted to opening tamiya tracks, for races and sold tamiya (both genuine and fake ones) kits but sadly the trend was quite short lived but still a small group of passionate tamiya collectors and hobbyists over the years still tried keeping the hobby alive.

Always saw kids over tuning their tamiya cars and it flew out of the mini race track back then :s13:
When I was young, there used to be a few shops below HDB that sell pirated PS games, CD/LD/VHS rental shop. Some of these shops always got tamiya tracks outside and kids will always gather there. I know my area when I was young, at least got 3 shops nearby in different direction. It was around since I was primary school and when they all disappeared, tamiya tracks together with pirated PS2 games almost disappeared at the same time, by then I was already in NS. It was also in that era, these shops also sell digimon digivice.

Suddenly feel so old. Na bei...

I think last time after we crash and broke the chassis... We can go and buy new set, fix it under the void deck under 30 mins then race again...

Always bring our toolbox... And charge batteries over night... Those days... Quick charge 8 hrs...

Lol... With all the tools inside... Sitting round the track.. Drooling at the mod parts... I still remembered new chassis must burn the front to straighten the rollers

For Hua Hua chiu meant? Stargek came up after that by that old man; only the daughters operate the front the past few years.
Stargek took over tamiya from early 2000s, the boss got no daughters.

Maybe the right one is need COE to buy the rc cars.

Have not been there for a long time. Prices not cheap.
Price is one aspect, if you want something from that brand; 90% is available there.

They have such a big warehouse behind.
Store front is so prominent and easy to locate.

Yet still can up lorry. They totally deserved it.
Made no effort to make it sustainable.
