For the first time in history, Iran attacks Israel from its territory
IDF Spokesman: - 99% of the approximately 300 projectiles fired by Iran at Israel overnight were intercepted by air defenses. - Iran launched 170 drones at Israel, none entered Israeli airspace; all were downed outside the country's borders by Israel and its allies. - Another 30 cruise missiles were launched, none entered Israeli airspace; 25 were downed by the Israeli Air Force. - Iran fired 120 ballistic missiles at Israel; some bypassed defenses, hitting the Nevatim Airbase in southern Israel. - Slight infrastructure damage at Nevatim, but the airbase is operational. - Handful of drones and missiles launched from Iraq and Yemen, none entered Israeli airspace. - IDF releases images of fighter jets returning after intercepting Iranian drones and cruise missiles.

IRAN MISSION TO THE UN “Conducted on the strength of Article 51 of the UN Charter pertaining to legitimate defense, Iran’s military action was in response to the Zionist regime’s aggression against our diplomatic premises in Damascus. The matter can be deemed concluded. However, should the Israeli regime make another mistake, Iran’s response will be considerably more severe. It is a conflict between Iran and the rogue Israeli regime, from which the U.S. MUST STAY AWAY!”
U.S. defense and intelligence officials have now stated that this ongoing attack by Iran is the “worst case scenario” that Israel has been preparing for and that this could cause a major war across the Middle East.

A senior US official told ABC News they now think there will be anywhere from 400 to 500 drones and missiles launched at Israel from Iraq, Syria, southern Lebanon and the Houthis but that the bulk will be launched from Iran.
Drone’s flight time from Iran is 6-9 hours but less from Iraq and Syria. Ballistic missile’s flight times from Iran 10 minutes and cruise missile 3 hours.
IDF spokesman: We will try to prevent the drones from reaching Israel. If we fail, alarms will be sounded. He says the Israeli Air Force is tracking the drones, while noting that they will take several hours to reach the country. Hagari says there will be GPS disruptions as the military works to counter the attack. If there are any additional attacks, that require a separate warning, Hagari says the IDF will update the public.
