My thinking is that black car was speeding at first, then kena triggered by white car who refused to let him overtake as his lane was taken by the motorcyclist. But when he finally overtook, he really wasn’t looking at the traffic lights anymore and wanted to just speed through the junction

Crashing might even guarantee his loved one dying too(and probably endanger the lives of others on the road). Even if it's rushing to hospital to visit it would have been better if driver could make it to hospital safely for the visit.
