At the last GE, Tin Pei Ling defeated him easily, garnering 72% of the votes to a 28% vote share for GMS, even though it was an election year that favored opposition candidates.
In GE2015, GMS achieved an impressive 23% of the votes in Choa Chu Kang GRC.
Since he has been on a losing streak for the past couple of elections and it wasn't even close, it is very unlikely that he wins miraculously this time.
