The thread sure sounds like people are angrier at the Merc than the Saab, which is why so many people replying… not because anyone are “relatives and friends” of the Merc la… please

the families of the victims and the victims are most important in this. Doesn’t even matter what we think. What they think will be the most valid. Hope the investigations are done properly and the Saab is properly punished for his crimes (as much as the lousy law allows).

the more i feel is there are those that want the merc to tank the accident

there is no 100% saab fault but merc is to blame as well

the assumption of the saab driver being triggered by the merc is also out of thin air.

Culpable homicide is where the accused is held legally responsible as the death can be caused by a person intentionally or unintentionally whereas non-culpable homicide is when accused is not held legally responsible as it includes death caused by self-defense

hmm.. debatable.. unless if the SAAB would die if he didn't change lane therefore he sped up.. being a jerk on the roads is unfortunately not a crime in sg.. otherwise our roads will be a lot emptier. Merc did force Saab to speed up. You learn this in driving school.. If you have to break speed limit to change lane then you are in the wrong already. Mercs at most guilty of reckless driving and speeding.. imho.. I'm no lawyer.. let those law trained ones chime in..
