Actually a combination of factors. The lacklustre battery life, can't really find good and practical case. The photography kit also throw inside my cabinet to rot. Wasted also.

are you the one who wanna perma put the photography kit on or was it someone else? lol.. I agree on case.. but for me very simple.. got clear hybrid case can liao.. lol.. battery life is ok on mine.. I learn to accept these type of battery life for flagship phones already.. but charging is v fast.. even on the non xiaomi charger.. it's much faster charging on the xiaomi 14u vs my x100 pro using the same charger..

These 2 days I have been toying with the idea to sell this 14 Ultra to get back the S24 Ultra. For the reason that good quality nice cases are easily available for the S24 Ultra. hahaha
What type of case are you looking for? Can ask in xiaomi fanclub facebook also, there are quite a few x14u users

Does xiaomi 14U have esim capabilities? Not worth upgrading from 13U right?

No. But you can buy 5ber.esim from Lazada and convert one of the slot to use eSIM.

I got this to use.

I was the one who wanted to keep the photography kit on permanently but cannot put face down as the case edges not raised enough.

Hey guys, just went your opinion on the photography kit. Is it a must to have this kit or not?I am asking as I missed getting the photography kit by 1 day and got the wireless charger as free gift instead.

Now pondering whether I should just return everything back to the lazada seller(with international warranty) and get a cheaper set with local/shop warranty and photography kit.

Tia for any advice.

I only used it maybe in the first few weeks. After which it was left inside my cupboard totally unused.....so imho, it's not a must have.

If it's cheaper and you don't mind the hassle, why not? But agreed with the rest, my kit also sitting in cupboard. Will only take it out when travelling or going for a day out with lots of photo opportunity.

Otherwise, I've settled on a relatively thin case that can put a filter adapter, so pretty much can do what the kit does without a grip. If you don't need the grip, then little use la.

Anyone interested in these? Bought to try but ultimately will not use. Let me know if you're in the East, can give away.
Bro, then what case are you using if not this type. Taobao cases all looked more or less the same bah.
