Couldn't decide whether to get G4 OLED or a miniLED flagship. But G4 looks to be a strong candidate for OLED winner

The budget entry level b series will be something to watch for too if the 83” comes at an affordable price

G4 with MLA and heatsink wins Miniled.
There are serious reliability issues especially with Minileds from China. These are not evident from short reviews.

Also the issue with Game Mode for many Minileds is more buggy. Switching on Game Mode to reduce latency and to preserve full chroma (4:4:4) per pixel for PC connection may result in loss in some hidden features eg certain HDR processing, and also requires very detailed testing to check what exactly is disabled.

Finally, majority of LCD panels used in Minileds, are not true 10-bit, but 8-bit + FRC which require superior processing to achieve 10-bit like results in color gradients. Some Minileds cheap out on the processing or have poor processing algorithms.

Go to https://www.displayspecifications.com/en
to check the panel characteristics (10bit, 8-bit, VA, OLED, IPS, etc). This is the only site that I know that details the full characteristic of any TV panel accurately.

I would also like to add: LG G3 has 5 years of panel warranty from manufacturer.
Most LCDs/Minileds, eg Samsung only has 3-year warranty from manufacturer.

Early problems with LG G4: banding at low gray scales. According to some, it's not so distracting under normal viewing conditions unless you actually look for it.

Confirmed that 77C4 launch price was lower than last year’s 77C3, 7999 vs 8999.

83C4 is 11999 vs 83C3 13999 launch price.
In fact, got salesman quote me preorder 83G4 for 11899, with 400 dollars e voucher. Last year launch price for 83G3 was 16k.

let’s hope the retailers in sg wake up their idea and bring the retail prices closer to USA retail/street prices.

Predictions for street prices in July/August 2024:

77C4 will be around 5k-6k ish
83C4 will be 7-8k ish (similar to street price of 77C3 in same period last year)
77G4 will be 7k ish
83G4 will be 9k ish (similar to street price of 77G3 in same period last year)

whoever wanna buy 77 or 83 C3/G3, advise to hold as these products launch prices are high to begin with, so clearance price is usually % off retail launch price.

77C4 going for $6700 with $400 shopping vouchers. Last year 77C3 launch price was more than 10k.
77G4 $82xx with $400 shopping voucher. Last year 77G3 launch price was more than 11k. , street price 9k in August-September 2023 period.

really looks quite promising, street price really coming down already. Hope that 77C4 will reach around 5k in August 2024, and 77G4 will be around 6k.

Talking about new sets, not display set pricing.

C4 - 65 inch - 3999 with $400 vouchers - Best Taka
C4 - 77 inch - 6799 with $400 vouchers - Best Taka

Sony also dropped their prices on top end model and sizes. 85 Bravia 9 is 9399

All along 77 inch and above oled tvs are priced 2-3x higher than international retail price. According to most salesman I know, all tell me business not good and lg tv sales have seen a slowdown over the past 2 years. More people are spending on holidays la, still want buy 77/83 for 10-15k like during Covid period? LG Samsung and Sony better wake up their idea.

don’t forget now Won and Yen extremely weak, their countries in desperate need for foreign currencies.

these are just launch prices, and LG TVs in sg, will drop very fast one especially for 55/65/77/83 TVs because their initial asking price is waiting to chop carrot head. So many retailers finding it hard to clear 77/83 C and G series every year. Whoever sell lower will get the deal, and people don’t buy tv often, like once they buy Hisense prism they won’t buy another tv for the next 3-5 years. LG already lost a lot of market share to other brands, especially the large screen department >75 inches.

Seems like demand is poor.

77C4 6399 with 400 grocery vouchers. Just 1 week ago best price was 6799 with 400 grocery vouchers.

83G4 10999 with 400 grocery vouchers. Just 1 week ago best price was 11899 with 400 grocery vouchers.

Believe that if sales are bad prices will keep free falling. LG must be very scared and worried now

77C4 6399 with 400 grocery

Which outlet is this?
Go carousell type LG 77C4 and message the salesman. Idk. But is big 4 outlet apparently. Anyway sales is very bad, pre order buyers close to non existent for 77/83C4 and G4.

I messaged that guy, he said he can sell 77C4 for 5999 and 400 grocery vouchers.
