Lol. Safety is probably taken for granted and it will probably be the straw that breaks the camel's back. Once sg not deemed safe everyone will zhao. What's the point staying here when can stay jb landed with 3 security check post and night patrol for 1/3 the price

Lw better take this seriously, if he gonna afk bench warm and raise gst then imo sg will just sink further

where does he need to take care of that??? letting in more foreigners and making money of them is more important for the government

ICA can say no to the government meh? Normally it is the FA ministry who set these and ICA only follows the instructions.
R u ica officer?
Anyways at any point in time, where do u see policymakers wrong.
Policymakers never wrong.

The Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) is responsible for securing Singapore’s borders against the entry of undesirable people and cargo through land, air and sea checkpoints.

They didn't check on this.

Reference from their website: Short-Term travellers should have sufficient cash and proof of onward travel (tickets, visas), and ensure that you do not stay beyond your visit pass validity. You may retrieve your e-Pass after arrival using the e-Pass Enquiry Portal or check your visit pass validity using the visit pass validity tool.

Meaning. Yes open to PRC.

But ICA can don't allow them to come in.

The fact that these housebreaking team may also possibly be professional workmen. Thus possibly entered through MOM systems.

Or their workpass expired and was not repatriated back to home country

Entry Approval for MOM’s Work Pass Holders

6. Currently, the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) has been requiring all new and existing Work Pass holders[2] (including dependants[3]) to obtain MOM’s approval before they commence their journey to Singapore. The entry approval requirement applies to:

a. Existing Work Pass holders currently out of Singapore; and
b. Those who have been granted IPA for a Work Pass, who have yet to enter Singapore.

7. Employers are required to apply for entry approval using this online facility (https://form.gov.sg/#!/5e3cbabee41f590012014e91). Work Pass holders who arrive in Singapore without a valid entry approval will not be allowed to clear immigration, and will be asked to fly out of Singapore within 48 hours, at their own cost.

8. Work Pass holders whose application for entry approval has been rejected should not enter or return to Singapore yet. They should apply again for the required approval. Those who do not comply and fly to Singapore nevertheless will have their Work Pass revoked and will be barred from future employment in Singapore

Seriously if MOM and ICA don't work together. We are really right pocket full of money but with a hole inside.

Nope China has given us visa free entries all along.

They need us more than we need them.

And this round they also went all around the world giving out visa free entries to EU countries without any in reciprocity.

And do try not to whatabout to other topics.

In this thread we are talking about the spate of housebreaking, all by China citizens, from 1 June.

Why would you want Singaporeans to spend more on and put up with more police presence because a particular country's people has been coming in since granted visa free entires to beg, scam and steal?
The problems is do u see police 🚓 at the NPP or u see police post with machines?
This is the problem with the management of the civil service. Auto service until no manpower.

Do u know if they still keep the npps with manpower in the vicinity. The crime will be controlled. Because the same group of ppl police 🚓 will continue to patrol the vicinity because this is their baby. Their kpi is to keep their princints crime free.
@Whimsica
There, you got the answer.

Anyway, the presence of the police is to deter crime, regardless of nationality.
So, don't be xenophobic ya...... (Sounds familiar? :ROFLMAO: )

Do u see anyone breaking into army camps or not.

Can be done one. Its just that whoever sitting in the mgt is not doing his/her jobs.

Have to say. Whoever leads need to have iron hand. Failure means more criminals to come in and I am worried they are targeting HDB
Why target HDB ? Go landed more easy 😗

Why we no screening ppl who don't have money don't have biz here in sg.

Why we want to open legs

I don't know why you guys imagine that implementing visa scheme will prevent criminals from coming

You know many use visa application companies who help settle all the paperwork and necessary "proof"

this policy is likely the reason why this housebreaking happened, because unlikely such criminals can get visa under previous policy. won't be surprised if kidnapping happens next
