This is the more innocent interpretation but yes it’s certainly possible la. I can sort of believe that old people get lonely and he regret not having kids

but the other not-so-innocent interpretation gets people raising eyebrows…

He got stage 3 bladder cancer le. Maybe he got feud with his relatives (that no one step forward to take care of him) that he has to adopt a son.
